I am the area coordinator for Now I Lay Me Down to Sleep (check it out here),  an amazing volunteer organization that offers remembrance photography for those families suffering the loss of a baby.  "The foundation is there for parents and families to help aid them in their healing, bring hope to their future, and honor to their child. It is through remembrance that a family can begin to heal"  In the past few months we have had two wonderful photographers that had to take a break due to personal family situations.   I would love to have others join our team,  I am heartbroken if I am out of town and have to tell the nursing staff that we will not be able to help them.  This service is done out of pure love, there isn't any recognition, (I rarely even mention my name, but only say that I am there with Now I Lay Me Down to Sleep) no monetary gain, quite often it happens late into the night when all is quiet and still.  There is a feeling of personal gratitude after each session, every time I leave I feel extremely thankful for all of the little things in my life.  It is rewarding and gratifying, to know that you are helping someone heal, it is an honor to be part of such a private and incredible moment in their lives.  This is such a fantastic organization that anyone would be proud to be a part of.  We need kind, empathetic photographers that are looking for a way to give back to this community that gives so much, even if you are only able to help every once in awhile it would be greatly appreciated.
