LOVE her – Angelica is one of my fabulous senior models for the class of 2014.  I got to work with her a few months ago for her JGP model mini shoot and had a blast – I couldn’t wait for her “real” session.  She is so beautiful and fun!  She is a down to earth great girl, I am lucky to have her representing Jana Graham Photography.  Talk to her to grab a special card with a fab deal for your session, call asap to book!  I have no doubt you will have an incredible senior year Angelica!!  xoxo

The first senior boy of the season reminded me how much I love working with guys – don’t get me wrong girls are a blast with all of the fun makeup and accessories, but guys are so easy going.  I shot his older sister a couple of years ago and was exctied to get to know Chandler, Mom warned me that this was the last thing he wanted to do, (this is a typical statement) they are just doing it to please their mom but after we got going we had a blast and he was making suggestions, we had a way better time than he anticipated and Chandler was great, I might even go as far as saying he enjoyed it, which happily suprised his mom. 🙂  Thanks for a great evening!

Really?  Who looks like this when they are a senior?  Stunning!!  As soon as we were done with makeup she got out and rocked the first shot and I knew it would be a good morning!  She was a trooper, we got caught in the crazy storm that snapped trees and caused havoc but she never complained, just went with the flow.  Jade is a fab tennis player and a great girl, I loved spending the morning with her!  So fun!!!

Baby Gunnar

Comments Off on Baby Gunnar

Newborn sessions definitely get me my baby fix, I love when babies come in, they are so tiny and new to this world and I get to spend time cuddling them, it’s pretty much perfect.  Gunnar was the sweetest babe, they came in for their ordering session today and it was crazy how much he had grown in just two weeks!  Those newborn shots are priceless, they are little for such a short time, you can’t get it back.  He is adorable and has the nicest parents ever! Little fact: his great grandmother made him the little camo cacoon he is wrapped in, what a treasure to have!   I am so excited that he is part of the baby’s first year program, I can’t wait to see him again in the fall and see how much he has changed and what his little personality is like!  Did I mention I love my job?

Tess is gorgeous inside and out!  We had so much fun running around to all of the different locations!  She is fabulous!  This first image may be one of my all time favorites, maybe because I grew up in Cali and she looks like she should be in a surf ad in this shot. Beautiful!!

Country Boy meets City Girl

Thursday, June 20, 2013

I loved Danielle and Austin from the moment I met them.  They have such a great chemistry, and they adore each other!   Danielle grew up in California and Austin grew up on a ranch near Red Lodge they met at a rodeo in town and played a game of cat and mouse, once they finally got together it was true love!  We decided it would be fabulous to do their engagement session at his family ranch.  I was thrilled when they were excited to do some on horseback, I think those shots are breathtaking with the amazing scenery in God’s country.  We shot in places that had some significance to Austin, the fishing image was taken in the creek just a way’s down from where he was baptized, the cabin at the end has been in their family since the beginning and is one of the out buildings on their property.  I can’t wait to photograph their big day!  I have no doubt it will be amazing!

Check out this special Family!

Tuesday, June 18, 2013

This family was great to work with, mom was over the moon excited!   Grandma actually gifted them this session with a collection for Christmas, it was the perfect gift.  Mom was totally nervous and kept telling me how hard her three year old was to photograph they had had bad experiences in the past so she was pretty anxious about how this one would go with two little guys.  We talked about what to expect and our plan and she was excited.  She told me about Eli,  his condition and that he would need to wear sunglasses outside, Eli has Albinism, you can read more about it in this article, it is one mom posted on facebook, we talked about it and agree that any chance you have to educate people is a good one, I try to educate or answer questions about my son’s Ty medical issues whenever I can.  I have to admit since she mentioned it during our preconsult I  wasn’t quite sure what to expect, of course he was just like any other little boy, playful and fun, he was just super sensitive to the light, and had to hold his head down a bit to let his eyes focus, one of the characteristics of Albinism is vision impairment.  We got some pics in the studio so that he wouldn’t have to wear his glasses then went outside for the rest.  The boys did great, Eli and I were fast friends and we ended up with some fabulous images that mom didn’t think were possible.  Thanks grandma and mom for trusting me to give you a good experience, it was so wonderful to get to know your family!

Happy Father’s Day!! (One of my favorite images ever)

Happy Father’s Day to all of those amazing fathers out there. This is one of my favorite images of all time, I took it a couple of months ago when our soldiers came home. I was dying to share it with you but had to wait until it was released on the news stands for the Simply Family Magazine cover this month. I saw dad running towards his daughter full of emotion and got in place to take the shot, my eyes welled up with tears as I looked through the camera. The look on his face was priceless. It was one of the most amazing emotions I have ever witnessed. I can’t imagine the feeling of hugging your child in your arms after being gone for one year. I am so thankful for all dads, they are heroes.

It was so fun to work with these little guys!  Fun Fact: these cute kiddo’s moms are twins, they live in Pennslyvania and are growing up together so they are really close. They came all the way here to visit family.  I have grown to love to their extended family as well so it is always fun to see them when they come into town.  The friendship started when I photographed this little doll’s mom’s wedding a few years ago! (see it here)  We have kept in touch and I was thrilled when she told me she would be here for graduation.  Winstynn and Pryce are adorable!!  Winstynn was wearing her mom’s boots when she was a little girl!  Love you guys!!!forweb1a
