I love spring minis, this year was especially wonderful,  it was the first time I wasn’t panicking when I woke up to gray, sprinkling skies.  We held minis at Gainan’s Garden Center in the Heights, it was fabulous.  The gorgeous hanging baskets filled the ceiling of the greenhouse and the blooming glowers were intoxicating.  It was warm and cozy and you couldn’t help but smile as soon as you walked through the doors, your mood immediately lifted when you saw all of the beautiful flowers and friendly people.   It definitely put everyone in the gardening mood.  The kids were awesome, and everyone happy.  The combo made for a perfect spring day!  Thanks to everyone!  Now that things are finally greening up and starting to bloom outside  I can’t wait to get our outdoor sessions started!!!  It’s a great spring/summer in the making!!

I just got back into town from the first wedding of the season, that happened to be out of state.  Spring was in full bloom, it was gorgeous.  Angelica was so blissfully happy and beautiful I couldn’t help but share a quick peek.   I traveled to take her senior pics years ago, so it made it especially fabulous to be a part of her wedding day.  I love this family!  Congrats Angelica and Stuart!!!

I’m sure you have seen this billboard all over town.  I do quite a bit of commercial work but never blog it for fear of taking the element of surprise out of someones marketing campaign, I don’t usually know exactly how the images will be used unless we are shooting specifically for billboards.  I love working with Gainan’s, they are a fantastic company!  It has been an honor to be partnered with them.  I hadn’t had the chance to work with Mick before so I was excited when they told me we would be photographing him, we did everything and finished the commercial shoot at the Garden Center then decided to go out front and take some personal pics of him and his gorgeous bride, it had been forever since they had a picture together.  Watching them together was magic.  They completely adore each other, it is obvious when Mick is around her he just beams and smiles from ear to ear, he is genuinely happy, I don’t think there are words to describe the way he looks at her, he is enamored and it is impossible not to feel that when you are with them.  I asked Mick if I could post these personal pics and I was thrilled when he said yes.  I think it is fabulous for people to see couples so in love after ages together, they are an inspiration!

Avery is turning one!!! She was the sweetest newborn and a perfect Santa and now here she is diving into her little birthday cupcake. I feel like a proud mom, I love getting to know these babies over their first year!  She was not shy about that cake, she dove right in!!!  I love the little teeny, tiny teeth, she is ADORABLE!!!

Is she not one of the cutest babies you have ever seen?  I was so excited to see her for her 6 month session.  She is ADORABLE!  I know I saw this every time – but it is crazy how fast these little babes grow and change, it seems like yesterday that I was taking her newborn shots (see them here) and look at her now, she is a gorgeous baby with personality and the cutest little rolls.  LOVE HER!!

I can’t wait for these spring minis on May 4th!  They are totally different than what I’ve done before, I wanted to do something fabulous at the Gainans Garden Center in the Heights when all of their hanging baskets and flowers are in full bloom right before Mother’s Day, it is a breath taking sight!  I thought it would be fun to plant a flower with mom in an artsy pot, make a memory and have something to take home.  My kids love digging in the dirt and planting so this seemed to be the perfect combo.  We will have fun getting a planting a gorgeous flower then take pics around the amazing greenhouse.  (FYI – mom is not required to be in the shots 🙂 ) This is going to be a blast!  Call Amanda at 406.671.4371 ASAP to book your appointment!

Two adorable little babes – no problem, Kerri is the most relaxed mom of twins I have ever seen, she was so go with the flow.  We had worked with her before, we shot her little guy’s newborn pics just 2 years ago so she knew what to expect, but seriously to be so prepared and ready to go with two 6 week old girls, I was very impressed.  It took a little bit of work getting them to fall asleep together since they were a bit older then we usually go for newbie shots, not sooo sleepy, but they were wonderful.  Grandma came to help and we had a good time getting them to snuggle.  I love the one of Kerri smiling and laughing holding the two of them,  she looks so gorgeous, I think one of the girls had just peed on her, you can’t help but laugh when that happens, one of the hazards of working with newbies, but she just went with it. I’m telling you her relaxed, happy vibe was incredible.  I definitely wouldn’t be as calm cool and collected with two babes at the same time.  Congrats!!!!!  She wanted to focus on the girls this time, we are taking entire family pics in a couple of weeks, stay tuned……..

These girls are GORGEOUS!!! I mean amazing – really  – who looks like this when they are in high school?  The fabulous thing about them is they are beautiful on the inside too!  I know – totally cheesy to say, but they were so fun to work with, super positive and happy!  I can’t wait for their “real” senior session when I get to spend more time with them.  We are making model cards for them to hand out, now that they have had a taste of the Jana Graham Senior Experience, ask them about it, and they will hook you up!!!!  Way to work it today girls!!!   And…… a huge thanks to Apricot Lane for the fabulous styling!  They did such a great job and the girls loved working with them!!!
