It was a gorgeous fall morning when we took these shots.  Everyone was happy and even the shy little miss warmed up after just a few minutes.  It was great!  I love the images of the mom and dad with the kids individually, how joyfully mom and daughter look and how adoringly he is looking up at his dad, it is obvious he is his hero.

Turkeys came to visit us yesterday morning – a day early.  I could easily make a long mushy list of everything I’m thankful for but dinner is calling –  Enjoy a fabulous day!!!

You may recognize this first picture, it graced the full back page of  last months Simply Family Magazine. It is pretty sad when it makes it into Simply Family before I even blog it, I’m so far behind, but I don’t want to leave out any of my amazing families that I’ve worked with over the last couple of months.  I did a mini with this fam last year so I was thrilled when they called me to do a full session.  Minis are so short and sweet, I loved being able to spend time with them and getting to know them.  They are incredible kind, loving and gentle.  It was wonderful to watch them interact and see the love ooze.  Thank you for letting me capture your family at this time!!!

I can’t believe the Grand Opening of my custom designed studio and gallery is tonight!  I hope you will come join us, have a bite, take a look around and come enjoy a gorgeous space with some friends.  This has been a LONG time coming, we started this process almost a year ago.   I was positive that I never wanted a studio, when people would inquire I had very strong opinions then after my wonderful clients provided me with my busiest and most successful holiday season ever, Chris and I decided it was time to take the plunge, and have a proper place to do business, it was taking over the house.  Now that I have added fabulous staff, it is obvious it was meant to be.  Initially we were looking at many different options, one in particular didn’t work out and I was devastated, I asked my amazing realtor Brem Fellman about the space above Ciao Mambos and he kindly informed me there was no way,  it wasn’t for lease.  I begged for him to talk to the owners who unbeknownst to me I had photographed that fall, they were excited to start the ball rolling and take on the blank canvas.  We took advantage of all of the original features in the design, and mixed modern with the industrial characteristics that the building had to offer.  I am thrilled with the final result!   Join us tonight to check it out! This family had me rolling!  They are gorgeous and so entertaining, we had a blast!  I told them to bring things that really showed their personalities and made them unique so the boys brought their gold medals from the Big Sky State Games, they entered doubles badminton and took gold, they must have mad skills on the court. Thanks guys for a great afternoon!

This family was adorable!  They obviously have so much fun together.  I would have loved to have a picture of my dad rocking out with me when I was little, I have no doubt this will be a much loved pic at their house for many years.

I loved photographing Melissa, I worked with her sister last year, so it was wonderful to get know another member of that fabulous family.  They brought me a little gift, that made my day, a photographer’s survival kit, full of everything that I could possibly need while on a shoot, from bug spray to bobby pins.  It was the most thoughtful surprise ever!!!! Thanks for a wonderful morning!

It’s easy to see why this has become one of my all time favorite sessions.  This gorgeous couple has been married for a few years and wanted to capture the insane love that they have for each other, they have had trials that have brought them even closer together, the mutual respect and adoration is palpable.  We were sure to include their handsome, smart pooch, (he responds to spanish commands).  Thank you for allowing me to spend a wonderful evening with you capturing your glowy love, I am honored.
