how cute is this family in the snow? the kids were such troopers, and mom had a smile on her face the whole time. love it-

is it always fun to photograph your friends. i was delighted to shoot my friend tori’s family and meet her parents and brother with his fam. they were all so nice and easy to work with, thanks guys!

i’m in love – can you believe what a cutie this little guy is? he was so wonderful and sweet, great to work with, what more could you ask for? we took some individuals, family pics and then they got out the adorable puppy – oh my gosh-fabulous!!!!! thanks for the fun shoot even in the frigid weather!

i probably should have put these pictures on before christmas but better late than never right? we were attempting to get a picture of the cousins in front of the christmas tree in the pj’s that grandma got them, we did get some cute ones while wrangling 4 kiddos under 5. i love the pic of the kids kissing katie.

i had a luxurious 2.5 hour nap today, a rare occurrence, which is probably why i can’t get to sleep so i decided to get some work done. i came across these while looking at photos on my list of yet to be posted and could not believe that i hadn’t shared these with you. this session is one of my favorites of all time.
do you remember this amazing day at the end of november? just 1 short month ago, we had a fantastically warm day, way out of the norm which allowed us to traipse down to the end of the road with a half naked baby, carrying a chair on my head and camera around my neck with the gorgeous little girls in tow in their white dresses. the light was perfect, a setting sun, the golden grass what more could a girl ask for? it makes it even more wonderful for me since these are my dear friends, they had just adopted baby micah and brought him home, i was so thrilled to capture these moments for amy. i wish you the best!! congrats!!!

Our dinner guests have just left, a pile of dishes is calling me, but i had to stop and take a moment to reflect on this great evening and season, i am so thankful for all of my many blessings, friends, family, health, and most of all the birth of our Savior. we decorated cookies then santa came to visit, and gave out jammies we were pretty excited all except for ty who liked to say hi from a distance. after all of the commotion died down and santa left to get on with his journey we sat around the fire and talked about the night of the Savior’s birth, we read a condensed version of the story and then same a few songs. As we were singing silent night such a warm peaceful feeling entered the room, it was wonderful for everyone to feel such warmth at such a special time of the year.

taylor couldn’t decide what to tell santa she finally wanted



i know it is probably obvious but i would have never thought to put the stockings on the gingerbread man’s feet, i love the way kids think.

isn’t this baby boy adorable? i have gorgeous close-ups of the mom and babe but i wanted to show you how huge he was, he dwarfs mom and he is only a couple of months old. i love chubby babies, i suppose it is because all of my babes were huge.

you may recognize these beautiful baby boys from an entry a month ago. i photographed these twins with mom and then returned a few weeks later for an attempt at a family christmas card. mission accomplished.
