a boy and his truck
what is it about boys and their trucks? look how gleeful this little guy is with a truck in hand. i am really noticing the huge difference between boys and girls right at the get go. my Ty is 22 months, having two older sisters he is a bit deprived of boy toys, at least until christmas, but every time we see a truck he gets so excited. his testosterone kicked in a few months ago, example, we picked my mom up from the airport today when we got home he started running around growling and throwing himself on the couch because he was so happy?!? where is my cute little guy who just likes to cuddle?

the dad was adorable too, but i loved this pic of mom and son.
Great Families
i photographed these fun families in a perfect setting, behind the windmill restaurant, it was so picturesque. we did the dual family shoot so we could photograph the cousins together. i didn’t have the pleasure of knowing these families before the shoot and after talking realized that my daughter Taylor and this adorable boy Colton are in the same kindergarten class at Boulder. its a small world.
leaves and a Harley what could be better?
i don’t think i have posted any throwing leaves pics yet, how could i miss those they are so great, especially when you frame them together as a sequence. this dad just purchased his dream harley and was so excited, i have to admit it was a pretty sight against the fall leaves. but the pic of the brothers takes the cake, could they be any cuter?
Best Friends
i do love fall but wanted to put a little something different on today, i realized that i hadn’t posted one of my favorite shoots from the end of the summer. of course i am biased, but the subject makes my heart leap. we decided to do a shoot with my daughter taylor and her best friend sydney. they are always together, taylor had a great conversation with my mom,
“nana, sydney is my best friend”
“why?”
“she’s just so easy to be with”
isn’t that true? it is so easy and comfortable to be with our dearest friends. we don’t have to worry if we have a bad day or aren’t in our best form we know they will love us and be there for us. i am so grateful for my best friends.
i love the look of pure joy on their faces, we should be better and have photo shoots with our friends, how special to cherish those relationships. watch out friends of mine, i’m on a new mission, to have pictures with my great girlfriends, so buck up, put some mascara on and be ready.
