I have known this family for years but it has been a few since we have done family pics and the kids have grown so much, like a foot or two 🙂 So it was great to get together with them for pictures. We usually get to see them on the court, with Mom or Dad probably coaching, or at least cheering or carpooling. These kiddos are straight athletes. I think they play everything possible and are good at it all. So of course when Dad said he had been dreaming of basketball pics with them in their different jerseys we made it happen. They had a great court in their backyard for the perfect backdrop. I love they way they turned out, how fun will these be when they are all grown up to look back on? What a great memory!! They are such fun kids, and an awesome family. They are so comfortable with each other and so supportive, they like to mess around and have a good time. This session was full of lots of laughs and running around. love you guys! xo

This Mom is the most patient ever, we had to reschedule twice due to weather, Montana can be so fun!! It ended up working out for the best with kid’s schedules etc at least that’s what she told me. She’s the nicest. We usually never reschedule because of weather but it was like downpour crazy rain. I’m so glad we waited, we had a perfect evening, not too hot, not too cold, it was amazing! The kids were so funny! The session started out like most do – kids wondering why they had to be there, totally polite but you could tell it was not the best day of their lives, by the end they were asking to take pics doing crazy things. That’s my favorite, I love it by then end of sessions when I have new kid friends and a happy mom! Always a win in my book, we had fun, captured some love, lots of laughter, Mom is happy to finally have images of her babies, its a good day! xoxo

So in love with this family, their girls are adorable and Mom is gorgeous! Our little friend is obsessed with chapstick, it is so funny! She wanted to carry it the whole time, she is hilarious. I was telling Mom when she came in the studio to go over the images, that I shoot and show differently now that my kids are older. When mine were little years ago I thought everything should look perfect. Now I love the little details that are quirky and fun and really show personalities at that time in your life. The chapstick obsession makes me smile whenever I think about it. Its one of those things that drives you crazy at the time but when they are older you pine for those days and all of those cute little idiosyncrasies. She is so fun, her crazy giggles and little baby sister with those bright blue eyes put me over the edge. We started off with Dad but then turned it into a Mom and girls shoot focusing on what a day during the week is like, putting on lipstick, reading books, playing outside, cuddling. It is no doubt a house filled with love. xoxo

This darling family has my heart. I’ve known this Mom for quite awhile through working out early in the am, she goes all the time, I rarely go…..but we’re still friends. She is the best, she always has a smile on her face, is super funny and sweet, plus gorgeous – killer combo. I was so happy to finally meet her family. They were adorable, her kiddos were fabulous, they had great little personalities, they were up playing and cuddling and just about anything that I suggested. It is so fun to know women in different scenarios and then see them in their Mom roles. They adore her to the extreme, such a great family!! I love capturing families at all different times but this age is so fun – they are open and willing to be themselves without holding back at all. They show you exactly how they are feeling and give you all the emotions. So much love! xoxo

I’m so head over heels with these girls and this family! I have been photographing them since they were newborns. I’ve loved watching them grow. They recently moved into their forever house and wanted to do a photo session there. It was perfect. It will be so fun to have pics of them in front of their house throughout the years and see how the girls are growing, they look so small now – what a treasure to look back on. I’m hoping they will adopt me, I’m in love! They are one of the most well traveled, jet setting families around, I love how adventurous they are, they go to the most fun places, but home is the most important place to them, where they want to create amazing memories and spend the bulk of their summers. We took pics capturing the everyday moments since those are the things that make up our home and a house full of love. We wanted to be sure to remember the girls favorite things, playing outside on the swings with Mom, cuddling on the couch, playing with their adorable puppy and coloring in the playroom. They are the sweetest girls and family and I am always so happy when we get to spend time together, they melt me. xoxo

He gave her the most thoughtful Mother’s Day gift! She had been dreaming of professional family photos and he made it happen. She was over the moon! I met him when I photographed his sister’s wedding in gorgeous Sheridan years ago so it was awesome to be reintroduced and meet his fabulous family!! The girls are adorable and all have such different personalities but adore each other and get along so well. It was so cool to see how they connected in their own way with one another. Of course we made Mom and daughter shots a must and they were gorgeous. Each of those relationships is unique as well, but all of them were loving and tender. They are such a loving, fun family! We were lucky to spot a toad along the path that entertained us and even got a kiss from one of the girls! Xoxo

Moms often ask isn’t it hard to photograph my family if I have older kids? They aren’t doing the cute running around and gazing at me adoringly anymore. To tell you the truth I always get a bit anxious before every shoot, I guess that’s a good thing right? I want to be on my game. I want to get the best images I possibly can for each family, I know this is a huge deal for them, I want them to get images that speak to their family and what they will want to have up on their walls for years to come. Images that will make their hearts melt and make them smile when they want to strangle their kids. (at least that’s when I look at my pics the most, when the kids are acting up, then I remember – oh wait, they are amazing and I really love them, then I take a deep breath and carry on) I want to find what makes each family dynamic unique and capture that essence all while helping them look their best. Once we relax and get into the groove, get the nerves out and I can show them how fabulous they look on the back of my camera the real them emerges. That’s when the magic moments happen and my heart sings. It doesn’t matter if they are toddlers or teenagers they still love their mamas and it will come across in their own way. I’ve known this family forever but it seems different at a photo shoot, when really I saw them through the lens and saw how much the girls had grown in the last few years, what gorgeous young women they were, it took my breath away. We laughed throughout the night and my heart melted, I was thankful they opened up to me in this way so I could capture moments for them that go way too fast. xoxo

I have been photographing this family since the little girls were newborns every 6 months, so I definitely feel like part of the family. Watching them grow has been amazing, they have such different, sweet personalities. I’m totally in love with them, and Mom and Dad? They are the best! When I talked to Mom about what she was wanting for this shoot we both got emotional. She was telling me about how the girls are growing up so fast, how she wanted to document the everyday moments, the ones that are often overlooked but are so important. Mom just helping them get dressed, hanging in their pj’s all day, cooking together, reading stories, snuggling all of their favorite everyday things. I wish I had pictures like these of me with my babies. She said she has so many everyday pics of the girls with Dad which is great but Mom is hardly ever in any pics. It’s so true! All of those details, their tiny hands stirring the pancake batter, them looking at her adoringly while they jump on the bed, all of their faces squished together while Mom reads to them. I miss those days! I feel like I get to be with Moms at their most vulnerable, hard or amazing times of raising children and they have tearfully told me that when they start High School it goes in the blink of an eye. My oldest is starting High School this year, so I caught myself fighting back tears numerous times while shooting this amazing Mom and her darling girls thinking of my own and how fast it has gone already. I’m so glad we got to capture and document all of these moments for her that will last a lifetime. Love you guys!! xoxo

I took her big brother’s newborn photos and have watched him grow over the years. When Mom called and told me she was expecting a little girl I was over the moon! This is a lucky little miss! She is completely adored and no doubt she already feels it. We were cuddling her then passed her over to Mom and as soon as she saw her and heard her voice she gave her the biggest grin I have ever seen. She is only 3 weeks old- I’ve never seen a baby that young do that! Mom just kept cooing and she just smiled and smiled it was amazing, one of the most genuine, sincere, loving things I have seen. I could have lived in that moment forever. Pure love. xoxo

I can’t believe he’s one! I’ve loved watching him grow this past year. He has the cutest little smile and is so easy going, he loves watching his big brother and gazing at his family adoringly. He is curious, but cautious. I know this is his time to shine but I couldn’t resist taking a few of the rest of the crew. I fall in love with everyone during that first year and it didn’t seem right to leave them out. Watching them all interact is one of my favorite things. The little boys toddling around with Mom and Dad in tow, it’s pretty much perfection. Snuggling with Mom – laughing and cuddling with Dad like they are the best thing since sliced bread. I miss those days!!
