I was so excited to meet this little babe and over the moon thrilled when he arrived here safely, it was great to see him in the hospital but I couldn’t wait to get my hands on him during the shoot the following week.  I love this family dearly, this five pound three ounce bundle is completely adored by all.  It was so awesome to see how much his sibs love him, the girls cuddling and cooing, and his big bro telling him all the things he needs to know and explaining how things work, it was precious! Mom and Dad were on cloud nine, (dad was even smiling and took it like a champ when he got pooped all over, the sign of a great dad 🙂 ) this baby is one lucky little man to have such wonderful people surrounding him! It was an amazing destination wedding for all of their friends and family to enjoy.  They wanted to do something a little bit out of the norm, they weren’t worried about tradition, they wanted it to reflect their loves and only include things that they really enjoyed, where their guests would be sure to have a good time – and a good time it was!  Mission accomplished!  The gorgeous bride has always loved going to Palm Springs and thought that would be the perfect warm wedding destination, they love architecture, they chose the Del Marcos for their wedding venue, a little boutique hotel that was designed in 1947 by a famed architect, and only a block away from fabulous downtown Palm Springs.   It was perfect.

I loved their shoes!  I don’t think I’ve shot a groom in Vans yet!  Of course we set up the first look on the balcony off their their suite so that they could have a special moment before we started our afternoon of pics.  We had a sweet vintage car complete with an Elvis ornament at our disposal, only fitting considering we shot at Elvis’ honeymoon house.  Does it get much better?  Oh wait throw in the desert with the soft California sun light and a couple completely in love with each other it was heaven!  We then headed off to a pool party with a taco bar, this wasn’t just any taco bar but they brought in a woman that made tortillas and cooked the meat on a unique grill like they have street side in Mexico it was unbelievable!  Everyone had a great time catching up and relaxing.  The next day was chilling in the morning then prepping for the big event!  The ceremony was absolutely gorgeous, they wrote their own vows that had everyone in tears, one of the most beautiful ever.  After some family pics we went to the pool area, where everyone was thrilled and shocked to find Hodad’s catering the party.  They are a local Ocean Beach/San Diego burger joint that came up just for them, Hodad’s is famous for their amazing burgers and has even been featured on the Food Network .  The guys were great, it was so unique and fun, everybody chowed down.  I love the shot of the Erin and Patrick taking their first bite together, true love! 🙂   Erin, the stunning bride is a music buff, she can tell you any artist and the lyrics of any song at the drop of a hat so it was a crazy dance party as soon as the sun went down followed by midnight dips in the pool.  It was an amazing time to watch these two love birds tie the knot surrounded by the ones they love in a gorgeous place.  Congrats Patrick and Erin, I wish you a life time of happiness!!!

The cutest ever!! I couldn’t get enough of her chubby little legs, I just wanted to love on them the whole time, they reminded me of my babes.  I can’t believe how fast they grow!  Anna’s smile is contagious, she lights up the room, she is the sweetest ever, so go with the flow, she has such a great little personality.  LOVE her!!

It is so fun to photograph families that are celebrating new additions.  They were having such a blast together, hanging out and laughing.  The eldest was home on school break, plus a new little guy, it was a pretty fun time at that house! Throw in the gorgeous girls, it’s a perfect recipe for a fab shoot in my book.   I loved getting to know this family!  Thanks guys for a great morning!

2013 was such an amazing year thanks to all of our amazing clients.  Thank you for sharing your lives with us, I am honored when you choose me to photograph a special time in your life, and I love getting to know you and your families.  We feel so lucky.  I thought it would be fun to put a little collage together of some pics from the last year, I loved looking through the sessions and digging these pics out, remembering good times and conversations shared, you guys are pretty fabulous people!!!  I can’t wait for this next year and to see what it brings, I’m so excited to get started, meet new people and continue relationships with all of our fab friends.  Happy New Year!!! Love this fam!  Can you believe how big the twins are now? If you are blog followers you have watched them grow and I am always amazed at how much bigger and fun they are every time I see them!  We had a great time in the snow and getting in a few little trips down the hill, with only minor sledding injuries.  As my kids would say,  playing in the snow is 95% fun – 5% getting hurt – totally worth it!  Good times!

– But they kept it hot!  I met this couple at a wedding many years ago, and thought they were absolutely gorgeous then, when they called me about shooting their upcoming nuptials I was thrilled.   They were happy to cuddle and keep each other warm and toasty even though there was a bit of chill in the air.  They are so beautiful inside and out, I can’t wait for their wedding day, it is going to be amazing!!!

Happy Holidays!!  This adorable family wanted to have a picture around their gorgeous Christmas tree,  after we got a cute one of all of the kids I couldn’t help but take the older ones outside to the winter wonderland, they were brave enough to weather the freezing temps for just a few minutes, this is when it was REALLY cold, and I was so glad that we did, it was beautiful outside in the falling snow!!

This is such a wonderful, fun family!   When mom asked me about a session with the horses I thought it sounded like a great adventure, especially when we had a special destination – a unique rock where there was a picture of Mom’s dad when he was a little guy.  We went over little hill and through some trees, the girls did great on their horses, it was pretty impressive to watch and we got some gorgeous shots along the way making it the best ever for me.  You should have seen me at that shoot, I looked like the out of place marshmallow puff in my snow pants and huge hiking snow boots and they were cowboy’d up just as natural and gorgeous as could be.  This is Montana at its best!

It is always wonderful to photograph a family when they are happy to be all together, they had such a great vibe and really enjoyed each other.  The fire pit in this pic is special as well, everyone designed a part of it then they had it handcrafted and welded together, what an unique, cool thing to have for your family to gather around.  It was a fabulous afternoon! (throw in an adorable kiddo and a dancing dog, it doesn’t get much better)
