Family time
I shot Alex’s senior pics and loved hanging out with him and his mom so I was so excited when it was time to meet and work with the whole family. They were exactly what I imagined. We had a great time, they were patient while we waited for the perfect light for their family shot on the river, they were hilarious together not to mention a super good looking bunch! Can’t get enough of these sisters!! BEAUTIFUL!!
Emma – Senior High
Emma is a fabulous twin. I just blogged her sister Katie above. I wanted to blog them separately since they are obviously their own unique person but had to mention their cool twin thing because how awesome would that be? I think being a twin would be a riot, we did their session during the same time and you can tell that they adore each other and have so much fun. Emma was terrific, a true beauty. Did you see her amazing eyes?!? She loves to read, sing and is full of smiles. Emma is a fun, fun girl. Thanks for spending the morning with me, it was so wonderful getting to know you!
Katie – Senior High
Katie is such a great girl, so sweet, an avid reader with killer blue eyes, (I’m totally jealous) and a huge lover of bread. When she mentioned that she adored bread of course we had to shoot at a bakery, I had never done that before and am always up for something new. So we ran right over to get some shots, of course you can’t shoot bread without carrying a basket skipping down the lane. Katie was so fun, she has an great giggle and a fabulous smile. Thanks Katie!!
An intimate wedding by the river
This was such a beautiful ceremony! Marni and Jim were married by the gorgeous river right outside of their cabin in the Montana wilderness. It was breathtaking! It was a relaxed intimate gathering with just a few friends and family members. The sun was shimmering off of the rushing river, the weather was absolutely perfect, a fabulous fall day, you couldn’t have asked for anything more. Their close friend performed the ceremony that was full of personalized thoughts and beautiful poetry. It had just the right mix of laughter and mushiness, it was wonderful! It was evident by everyone there and I think it shines through these images how over the moon happy these two are together, they are an amazing couple! I love witnessing moments of pure joy, it makes my heart happy!
All boys in the house – (and a happy mom :) )
I took Luke’s senior pics last year and got to know his mom and dad a little bit during that process. I thought they were fantastic people. Mom kept hinting during the senior ordering meeting how much she would love family pics, they hadn’t done one forever, if at all, it would mean the world to her to have all of the boys together and a great image of all of them hanging on her wall. Well – we got a sneaky call from Dad a few months later that he wanted to purchase a gift certificate for her for Mother’ Day so that she could have the family session and picture she had been dreaming of. She was so excited! (no pressure right?) The boys are obsessed with soccer and they have a million multicolored shoes all over their house so she wanted to be sure and get them in their soccer stuff and them hanging out. The thing I loved most about this family is how well they vibed together. Obviously they didn’t walk along the lane holding hands and sprinkling fairy dust, they were normal boys messing around, roughing each other up but you could tell they were together a lot and that they really liked and cared for each other, when I asked them to get together they just fell into place naturally, just kind of threw their arms around one another like it was no big deal, they were just hanging out, totally comfortable together. It was great to see. I can’t wait to see their canvases hanging on their wall 🙂
Jamie – Skyview High
Really who looks like this when they are a senior? Jamie came in all shy while she was with the makeup artist and while we were going through her fabulous wardrobe options and then during the first couple of shots, as soon as I showed her one in camera and showed her how amazing she looked it was model time from there on out. That girl can work a camera!! We had the best time! She is BEAUTIFUL!!! I loved hanging out with her. She is so super sweet and interesting, she likes so many different things and is one of the nicest people ever, I love her sense of style. She just got her braces off and was not afraid to be herself and try new things and dazzle me with her gorgeous smile. She was so much fun!!
Korrin – West High
