I loved this couple!  We had such an amazing time during their engagement shoot (see it here – one of my favs – jaw droppping gorgeous scenery )  I was so excited for their wedding day.  They totally impressed me, and now I love them even more if that’s possible?  The wedding was at a church in Red Lodge but the reception was outdoors under a white tent, meant to take advantage of the amazing views of mountain ranges at her parent’s home.  Everything was geared to being outside and the many out of town guests enjoying the wide open Montana landscape.   As you might have guessed it poured rain the majority of the day.  I have to admit I was nervous as I approached the Historic Pollard Hotel where the birdal party was getting ready,  I knew Danielle was remarkable, but lets face it, most brides in the same situation would be freaking out.  She stayed calm, cool and collected the entire time.  They had the nicest wedding party ever, everyone was flexible and wonderful, not one person complained or made a stink, they were ready and just shot in few sparse moments of reprieve we had from the rain.  Whenever the weather would come up everyone would just say, there is nothing we can do about it we should just enjoy the day.  Such fabulous attitudes!  Jim Gainan did an amazing job collaborating with Danielle and then transforming the tent into the most magical atmosphere.  He was amazed at how quickly his request for a truckload of hay was fufilled to sop up the boggy ground outside of the tent, so that guests had a comfortable place to enter their cozy walled tent for the enchanted evening.  His quick thinking made the weather a non issue for the outdoor event.   Of course the flowers were gorgeous and details spot on as well.  Carbon County Steakhouse did an amazing job with the food, it was delicious and presented beautifully, the menu was interesting, and their staff was great, I would highly recommend them.  The live band was terrific, have you heard of Little Jane and the Pistol Whips? If not you need to check them out.  They were amazing!  They were the perfect balance of fun and knew when to slow it down.  They kept everyone dancing and having a blast the entire night.  Even though the weather was a bit crazy on the outside it was warm and cozy inside that beautiful tent where Danielle and Austin were surrounded by family and friends sharing in their love of each other.  I have no doubt they have a life full of love and happiness ahead.

Check out this little guy and his gorgeous eyes? Look at his beautiful mama, he comes by it honestly!  I shot her senior pics years ago and remember being in awe of her eyes and that lucky little babe now has them.  So sweet!

Seriously gorgeous girl!  She is tall and fabulous and has no idea how beautiful she is – those are my favorite kind 🙂  They come to the shoot nervous, let’s all admit it, it can be totally nerve wracking standing in front of the camera by yourself if you don’t know what to do (and who does?), after some fun direction and they relax,  realize it is going to be a blast, see a few shots in camera, trust that I will help them look like the best, most fabulous, version of themselves, and finally see how others already see them – absolutely beautiful.  The magic happens.  Wowza!Gabbyforweb1

So much fun with this couple, they met while he was serving in the Air Force in Alaska, they fell in love and he brought her back to good ol’ Montana.  They love hunting and everything outdoors.  I can’t wait for their wedding this winter!

I had been looking forward to Sydney’s shoot forever.   I worked with her sister a couple of years ago and loved their family then.  I did business headshots for mom and talked with her about Sydney and her fabulous personality and what we might want to do for her session.  She is strong, fun, an amazing chef, independent, silly, faithful and beautiful inside and out.  I had a blast!  Oh did I mention she had fab clothes too!!!  Sydney no doubt has a wonderful future ahead of her.

Tristan is a pretty amazing, ambitious senior!  It is no wonder that he was chosen as the Simply Family’s Amazing Teen this year,  you can read about him here.  He has been working hard to acheive his goal of attending West Point after High school (he should know in the spring 🙂 ), he was a page for Senator Max Baucus and he loves to play football, a great all around guy.  Tristan received a senior photo shoot and collection with Jana Graham Photography and was provided with clothes and a gift certificate for the shoot from Bottega Clothing!!  Congrats Tristan!  I can’t wait to see wait wonderful things your future holds.

Grandma wanted to be sure and get great images of her grandson visiting from back east and who could blame her?  Oh my gosh is he not the cutest thing ever?  He just turned one and is adorable! Those blue eyes melt your heart, he had the sweetest personality, a definite charmer.  He was rightfully adored!!  What a cutie!!

So much fun with this girlie! She came with a fantastic wardrobe and hippos of various shapes and sizes for me to choose from to shoot with from her world travels.  I would love to just sit and chat one day this girl has had some amazing experiences!  She plays string instruments, loves the periodic table of elements, plays soccer and has been known to hang out with garden gnomes (can you spy him?).  She is so interesting and fun, loved her!  Thanks for spending the afternoon with me Amber!!
