3 daughters

Wednesday, November 10, 2010

So here is the opposite of the All Boys post from a couple of days ago….this fine family is graced with three lovely daughters that make dad the odd man out.  (good thing he is so easy going and laid back)  They were perfectly dressed and accessorized which made it super easy for me, and the best part, they love to laugh together.  They were a bit hesitant about the crazy, fake lips/mustache that I brought to the shoot, but obliged and then worked it.  I love the expression on dad’s face when he is getting a smooch.  Thanks guys for a very fun fall evening!

Mama’s boy

It seems like I always mention the tender relationship between fathers and daughters, the same exist for mothers and sons.  This little guy was definitely a mama’s boy.  It was so sweet to watch their interactions, the fun and snugly moments that they shared.  I have to say it, isn’t he the most gorgeous toddler ever!?!  I’m so glad I can capture pics like this for people, what I wouldn’t give to have a picture of my mom loving on me when I was a babe, I’m sure these will be treasured for years to come.

All boys

Monday, November 8, 2010

This was a great shoot because I got to see all of these boys in action.  The parents are good friends of ours and oddly enough I hadn’t ever spent any time with the kids.  They have boys, we have more girls so we had only played together as couples, not families, hopefully that will change, the boys were so much fun, as well as polite and charming.

Baseball is a HUGE part of their lives.  During baseball season they are unreachable, in fact the eldest boys team went to California this summer for Little League championship games, so we thought it was important to incorporate that aspect into their session.

Fun at the Ranch

Sunday, November 7, 2010

I love to try new and different places, there is something about the anticipation while driving up to the location, not knowing what will be around the corner, but fully aware that the finished product has to be fabulous,  every time I am thrilled when I arrive, my clients have great taste and are awesome location scouts.   We shot this at their friend’s ranch, we were even blessed with amazing weather to top it off.

Red headed little girls get me every time, some of my all time favorite pics are of red heads.  She was gorgeous and so sweet, even being surrounded by brothers, very impressive….

They had this HUGE pile of leaves raked and ready to go when I got there, it was massive.  I don’t think I have ever seen more leaves in the air at one time.

My Superhero

I realized that during all of this craziness I haven’t posted anything about the Graham fam.  We have had such a wonderful but busy month, company every other week, the hectic fall photo schedule and fun times with the kids.  I have so much to share but haven’t had a chance, I am so far behind on posting all of the wonderful families that I have had the pleasure of working with, I didn’t feel like I could take the time to post about us….so stay tuned, in January I will recap our last few months for all of those interested.  Until then I will look forward to sharing all of my amazing clients with you.  Thank you everyone for your patience, if you are eagerly waiting to see your sneak peek it should be up soon, I am working around the clock to show you your finished images that I hope will knock your socks off.  Because I couldn’t post without a pic….(honestly what could be cuter than a little boy in his favorite underoos?) Here he is, a bird? a plane? no it’s Super Ty, the little man that lights up my day.

Bouncing Baby Boy

Check out this cute little man.  He was a precious babe, so sweet and loving, and can you believe the weather we have had lately, taking a newbie outside in October, who would have thought?  Fabulous!!!

Love is in the air (literally)

What better way to show love than throwing hearts into the air?  I thought it would be fun for little miss to be involved and invested in the shoot, cutting out paper hearts was the perfect thing to do.  She was so excited to show me the hearts she cut out with her mom.  Of course we had to capture her in her favorite princess dress as well!

The eyes have it!

Picture after picture I am so struck at how beautiful this little girl’s eyes are!  This family was so fun and gorgeous!  Thank you for hanging out with me on a wonderful fall morning.

Sneak Peek of round two fall minis

Monday, November 1, 2010

First I have to announce the exciting news, you may have seen it in the Saturday paper!   I will be offering the last minis of the season at the Gainan’s downtown location on Saturday November 13th.  If you follow my blog it’s obvious the love that I have for Gainan’s  (their new department Little Sprouts has the most adorable clothes/gift items)   They do an amazing job at everything they do.  Jim is one of the most creative people I know, so when we discussed doing an event together  I was all in.  I have no doubt that it will be fantastic.  We will be working within a couple of different wintery sets designed by Jim, that will be perfect for holiday photos/cards.  Standard mini rates and packages apply with one twist, $50 from each session will be donated to the Boys and Girls Club of Yellowstone County.  Please contact me if you are interested in getting in on this festive occasion!

The second group of fall minis took place on a frigid Saturday Morning when there happened to be a collegiate cross country meet going on.  I was flabbergasted when I arrived at the location with the first of the buses, I knew it would be chaos soon after, so my fabulous assistant got on the phone and got the word out to everyone coming that day about the change in meeting place.  It all worked out! Everyone was cheery and bright eyed despite the chilly temps and runners surrounding us.  I hate to boast, but I seriously think I have the most gorgeous clients, and more importantly they are so NICE.  I’m the luckiest girl ever!

So sweet!

Look at these adorable angel faces!  It is so funny to see the difference between girls and boys down at the water.  The girls carefully plop a rock in the water and are over it quickly, once boys figure out and get the ok to throw rocks you have to have something monumental to lure them away from the act of throwing hard objects and your parents applauding it.  Hilarious!
