Tuesday, September 21, 2010

Yipee!  I can finally show you Ashley’s senior shoot.  I wasn’t able to show you Ashley until the Simply Family issue came out for this month, we wanted to keep the “Simply Amazing Teen”  winner a surprise. I was so bummed because she is fun and  gorgeous all rolled into one.   Ashley  received a complimentary senior session valued at over $1,000!  We had crazy stormy skies, that make everyone nervous, but I rejoiced, look at this amazing sky!!!  Congrats Ashley, you really are amazing!!

Late summer minis

Sunday, September 19, 2010

The late summer minis were crazy, I thought we would be taking advantage of the last of the warm weather and instead we were freezing our buns off in the early morning.  hint: (running around like a crazy person to get kids excited and distracted from the cold is a great way to keep warm)  I do have  a few fall mini session spots available. Contact me asap to get on the list!

Ty is officially in Preschool

Saturday, September 18, 2010

Ty survived his first official week of preschool!  my baby…….I can’t believe  I am kid-less for 2.5 hours, twice a week.  At times it felt like it would never come, but now that it is here I’ll admit, I’m kind of sad.  Preschool is for such a short amount of time, it seems like I can hardly get back home, get some work done and then it is time to come and get him again, but I think if he were there for hours a day, or even more than two days a week I’d be a wreck.  He is such a fun little buddy, and I love to see his happy face when he bounds out of the door ready to tell me all about what they did that day.  He is lucky to have a couple of familiar good friends, and the teachers at Good Shepherd are amazing.  I don’t remember  if I’ve gone on and on about how fabulous they are in the past, but I wouldn’t send him anywhere else!  Ty has a bleeding disorder, it is scary to send your baby out and under someone else’s care, especially when they special issues, so it is imperative that you feel comfortable and trust the staff, and I do completely. This is our fifth year at this school and I adore the teachers and their passion about early childhood development, we are so fortunate to have them in our lives!  I can’t wait to see him learn and grow.  I love you Ty!!!!!!!

Sunday, September 12, 2010

I know, I know, way too long since I’ve posted, so sorry!  Thanks to Jordan and my other fabulous clients that will be seeing their sneak peeks in the next few days for being so patient.  I thought that when the kids got into school I would have more computer time but that hasn’t been the case….lots of shoots and lots o’ editing, meetings etc..  The silver lining? It has been crazy busy and there are so many fun and exciting things coming up,  I can’t wait to share the great people I have photographed recently and the amazing things around the bend.

Jordan was wonderful to work with, he was easy going and excited to share his multifaceted talents/interests with me.  Thanks Jordan!

Young Love

Tuesday, August 31, 2010

I photographed this couple while they were  home from LA visiting family for the week.  They have the best story; they were both raised in Billings but didn’t know each other until they were introduced by mutual friends in college, not even the same college but hours away, it was meant to be.  They were so tender and loving with each other, completely enamored.  It was very sweet to watch their interactions with one another, I was grateful that they felt comfortable enough to show a vulnerable side.   Thanks guys for a wonderful evening.

I lalalalaLOVE my seniors this year, I have had the most interesting people.   Lauren is so well rounded and fabulous, she is a really great girl and has so many different interests.  To name a few; she is a cheerleader, but wasn’t into doing any shots that showcased that side of her, she plays the violin, so we decided to incorporate that aspect of her life, when she pulled out the red electric violin I thought I was going to die, I mean really, who has a red electric violin?  I was amazed!  Lauren you are such a fantastic girl, I know you will be successful in whatever comes your way!

“Sweet” Girl!

Saturday, August 28, 2010

This shoot was great, mom was so excited to have professional pictures taken of her before she started kindergarten!  She told me that her 5 year old was a total girly girl and loved candy so we decided to do a fun themed session, show a little spunk and a sweet side.  She had everything ready to go, outfits for me to choose from and  fun accessories.  We shot at my kids favorite place, Candy Town USA,  they have a fantastic vibe in there, a great old fashioned soda fountain, and they are soooo nice!  It was the perfect place to capture her love of all things sweet.  Thanks for the fun morning!

She LOVED her “Bubble Gum Dream” treat and was in heaven devouring it.  My Taylor has always ordered their root beer floats, but she walked in while I was editing the “Bubble Gum Dream” shot and is now begging me to go back, she thinks she might have a new favorite.
