I wanted to share some pics from the first round of fall minis.  I had the most adorable people to photograph, I am so lucky!  I had one return client and the rest were new faces, it’s great to see old clients and how much the kiddos have grown but I LUV meeting new friends as well.  The weather was gorgeous and the leaves amazing.  I have to tell you, the holiday cards I am getting in that were ordered from the last summer minis are breathtaking! so – FYI – I have a couple of spots left for minis this Saturday the 16th, let me know ASAP if you are interested in having some fantastic Christmas cards to share with friends and family this year.  Included in the mini is 1 8×10 2 5×7 and 50 custom holiday cards.

This tiny babe came all of the way from Missoula to take some pics.   I was so flattered since there are so many great photographers up that way,  I was determined to get some amazing images of this little miss for her mama.    At 10 days old, she was the most wide awake baby I have ever seen, it was amazing, she is the only one who hasn’t given me the funky cross-eyed look.  This new family was gorgeous, and so, so kind.  People who have never been to a newborn session would never believe what goes on behind the scenes or the work it takes to get each shot.  I think this little one has the best digestive system ever, we went through every single one of my blankets, but you would never know looking at her serene face in these pics.  I’ve had parents get worried when things don’t go exactly as they imagine they should, but never fear, we always get great shots.  Congrats on your new precious bundle!!!!

These dear friends of ours, a fun, young, family wanted something energetic, we decided to have a blast working the popcorn and wall-ah. These pics will be perfect in their theatre room!

I was so excited when collaborating with this mom about ideas for the shoot, after she told me all of her family’s interests and then added that they had an amazing old car, this is exactly what I envisioned.  The eldest is now a senior but didn’t want a typical senior pic so we decided to work some into this personalized session.  Thanks for braving the chilly evening and looking fabulous!

Morgan was gorgeous!  She braved the crazy wind and was so patient even when her hair was flying all over the place, keeping her composure and allowing me to get some amazing shots of her looking fabulous! Thanks Morgan for rocking it!  I had a great time with you!

My mom came upon this fabulous farm just outside of Bridger and now it has become one of our favorite places.  Dick and Patricia grow organic, u-pick veggies.  They welcome families and encourage you to get dirty; the kids love visiting and pulling out amazing veggies such as purple carrots and fingerling potatoes. (Being able to harvest the veggies and then eat them that night has helped the kids be extremely adventurous in their eating;  when Ty has not been super excited about the buttercup squash, we remind him that Farmer Dick grew it especially for him, and he scarfs it down).  The roaming turkeys serve as walking pesticides and are completely friendly–the kids love to follow them around and echo their melodic gobbling.  They are currently open to the public only on Fridays but are having a Fall Pumpkin Day on this Sunday the 3rd.  You can view their website and info HERE.  If you are lucky enough to go, tell Farmer Dick the Grahams said, “Hi!”

Check out this great new game that is about to hit the market!  Rob, the inventor of this fabulous family activity contacted me and asked me to give it a try, I was happy to oblige, and it was fun!  It will debut at his kiosk at Rimrock Mall October 1st. I’m going to give it to my nephews for Christmas.

This handsome guy is the senior class president for West and was just nominated for the homecoming court, after working with him it is obvious why, he is hysterical!! I could not stop laughing, his dry sense of humor had me rolling.  Ethan is a fab guy, super nice, involved in tons of activities, choir etc..   I almost died when he pulled out his fanny pack and ugly sweater, a total flashback, apparently that is a “thing” at West, fanny pack fridays and ugly sweater Tuesdays?  Ethan and his friends thought it would be funny and now work it in the halls.  Ethan I have no doubt you will have a an amazing senior year, enjoy!

you may be wondering, what’s with the serious look? He wanted to do one like an album cover, he got it in the first take, reminds me of a guy in an alternative band from the 90’s!

This little tot came all of the way from New Jersey to visit her family and have a session in gorgeous Montana.  I photographed her last year and was amazed at how much she had changed, one year goes soooo fast, she now has a full head of gorgeous hair and is running all over the place.  I love to see her and her fabulous family when she is in town.  The great vest and hat/scarf combo came from Lil Sprouts by Gainan’s you have got to get to that store when you have a chance.  Cute, original clothes that photograph really well!!

There was something about this session that made me joyful, crazy joyful.  I left this session and immediately called my photog friend and raved about how wonderful it was; sometimes the light is just right, the location amazing, the colors are fantastic, the clients completely trust you and show their relationships/emotions and everything falls into place beautifully.  (It might have had something to do with the fact that the 3 yr old was a Ty as well :))  The family adored each other, I have never seen a boy so in love with his dad, they are best friends.  I had  a great time following them around as an observer, capturing their loving interactions; and the baby to be shots, I mean really, can a mom be any more beautiful? – it should be a crime.  I can not wait to meet and photograph their baby girl in November!  Thanks for a magical evening!
