Baby “S” – turned one!! He is adorable AND quite adored! When Hailey saw me editing these pics she was convinced they were of her brother Ty when he was a babe. I had to show her baby “S”‘s mom before she believed me.

This first pic maybe one of my favorite newborn shots of all time, I just love the way they are gazing at their precious little baby, their skin looks creamy and fantastic, glorious!

I’m sure you tend to see people around town or when you have little kids like I do, you run into moms at music classes or gymnastics but you never have a chance to get to really know them, you are always wrestling kids into winter jackets or putting on their little snow boots. Clients call to book shoots and give me their names, and I am always pleasantly surprised when a familiar friendly face opens a door, such was the case with this beautiful mom, it had been 18 months since our kiddos were in the same gymnastics class, I didn’t know she was expecting, then when she opened the door we both smiled. Newborn shoots last quite awhile so it was great to talk to her and finally get to know her without my little guy tugging at my pant leg. She is wonderful! Her family is great, and I couldn’t post without showing you a picture of her handsome first born.

A few months ago, Jenny the editor and I were brainstorming about ways to create community involvement with Simply Family Magazine. This adorable pic was in the last issue of Simply Family magazine. Gotta love the pics with the dad and girls as well as mom and son, now that I have Ty I get it, the mom and son relationship, boys and their moms are just so sweet together, there is something about it that is gushy and fabulous.

One of my new year’s resolutions is to give sneak peeks, so here you go – I am photographing this fantastic couples wedding in Sept. the only downside is that they currently live in Pennsylvania so we had to do their engagement shoot when they were here for the holidays. We took them on New Years Eve, which was a frosty 10 degrees. They were such good sports, all chipper and fun, eager to freeze their buns off, it was the kind of cold that turned your hands red and made your nose drip like a faucet, but did they complain? No, of course we joked about it but they were so positive, it was actually a really fun shoot despite the temps. It helped that the bride to be’s sister followed us around with a warm car ready to assist in wardrobe changes. They were so great I can’t wait to hang with them on a gorgeous day in Sept. Congrats guys!!

I realized in my last post I failed to acknowledge the new year. Hello New Year. I am still in blogging mode from the fall, wanting to share all of my fabulous families with you, but it would be awful of me to not recognize how busy and great 2009 was. I feel so blessed and lucky to do what I do, meet the people I do and create pieces for you that will hopefully become treasured memories. I get to meet newborn babes straight from heaven, celebrate first steps and them chase them around with a huge smile on my face. They make me laugh out loud. I have exciting things planned for 2010 (oh, did you notice the new music? you’re welcome loyal blog followers) I can’t wait to see what fun and great people it brings.

This is one of my favorites from the fall, I photographed the girls 1 month prior, you may recognize the eldest’s grin from the walls of Dr. Clarke and Dr. Wilgus office, the fabulous pediatric dentists in town. The mom decided after our first shoot to book a family shoot with the fall colors, I am so glad that she did, it was so fun to see the girls again for a little play date and capture shots with mom and dad as well. They ordered this family pic for their home and the following two as canvases for the wall. I will be dropping off her gorgeous album on Friday and can’t wait to see how her pics look hanging. Have I told you about the amazing albums I offer, they are divine! Completely one of a kind, not available to consumers, anyone who sees them drools. You have got to have one!

I have been a bit behind on posting due to the craziness of the season, but I wanted to make sure and blog my last wedding of 2009. They were a fantastic couple and had such great people surrounding them that special day, their families and the wedding party were a blast. Congrats guys!
