another fab family
I have photographed this family many times before, it’s great to get together and see how much the kids have grown and changed. I love my repeat clients.

The Healthy Pantry Fam
As promised here is the other fab shoot from my afternoon in Red Lodge. I met Keith while photographing him for Simply Family Magazine, he told me about his company Healthy Pantry. It is the perfect fix for when you are in a rush or quandary around dinner time, the meal kits are delicious and quick, and use high quality ingredients. A great option when you want to have a home cooked meal but are short on time, I made quite a few right after my surgery they were yummy and had the kids stamp of approval. Check out his site here.

I love how much fun this family has together, mom requested some crazy shots, this was one of them, and what a solid fabulous couple, this picture makes me smile.
Red lodge fun with the Waldrons
I went to Red Lodge for two great shoots in one afternoon, the Waldron clan and another family which I will share with you later. Katie has talked to me about doing a shoot at her grandfathers ranch forever, I am so glad we had the chance to finally do it. It was an amazing place busting at the seams with history and fun filled memories for the family, not to mention the fantastic old buildings, scrumptious land right on the creek, and a little pond, a photographer’s dream! It was perfect that their little guy happens to be way into cowboys now, could it get any better? Thanks for sharing your favorite place with me, I can’t wait to see it in the summer!

gorgeous fam
Check out this family -they braved the wind and cold with grace and managed to look fabulous, so impressed!

are you ready for the second group of minis? here you go –

Let’s do a cousin shoot and then a family one the next week…
I photographed the cousins all together last fall so we did the same this year when they came into town and happily braved the COLD weather, but we also added a family shoot the following week. I was so excited to photograph this happy Billings family in the fall splendor. You know it will be a great shoot when the kids are so excited to see you and exclaim, “I love having my picture taken!” Can you believe how photogenic this little girl is?

baby time
I know the fall is fantastic, but I thought it was time to post a recent newborn shoot to mix it up a bit. No one can resist a gorgeous baby! Welcome to the world Lily!

The sibs did an awesome job at taking a pic with their new baby sister, for these ages, you’ve gotta hand it to them they were amazing! We decided to sneak out while mom was feeding Lily to grab a pic of the two older ones. I first photographed this family when mom was pregnant with the little guy Parker, it has been amazing to watch this beautiful family grow.
Did you miss out on the fun?
Here are the first round of mini sessions this fall, I picked one or two of my favs from each session to show you. Minis were a blast, wham, bam, amazing pics, and you’re on your way….. thanks guys! Stay tuned for the second round.
I have so much to be thankful for this year, my health, family, friends, not to mention wonderful clients. Wishing you a fantastic Thanksgiving!

so this has been an interesting couple of weeks….
I can’t very well post without giving you a pic to look at. This great family of boys was very energetic and fun to photograph, the mom had seen a gallery wrapped canvas walking family picture like this that I had taken at her friend’s house displayed over her mantle and wanted a similar look captured of their family. A canvas was ordered and a mom made very happy. I love this time of year when albums and canvases, prints and cards are being delivered everyday, (the UPS man and I are very good friends now) I sometimes wish I could keep all these great pieces of art, but love the looks on the mom’s faces when they see their pictures come to life as something they can display lovingly in their home.

As far as the title, so this has been an interesting couple of weeks….. let me tell you what has been going on at the Graham house. I went in for an MRI for my back a couple of weeks ago, my back was fine but the radiologist found something else that was of worth, my trachea was being pushed over. I saw my internist who was shocked at the size of the lump on my neck and ordered an ultrasound, those results concluded that I had a extremely fast growing tumor but they didn’t know what it was, yes I knew I had a bump protruding out of my neck but it didn’t hurt and I wasn’t symptamatic so I ignored it. This is my busiest time of year after all.
After visiting with an ENT surgeon and talking with my doctor we decided that it needed to come out immediately so we could biopsy it and figure out what this growth was. (which we affectionately named “Gigantica”, have you seen the movie Monsters vs. Aliens?) I also have a bleeding disorder which complicates things and makes the surgery and recovery more of a headache. I had surgery last Tuesday and things went well, everything was benign, I was released from the hospital on Friday. I am so thankful that my husband works in the medical field and that we knew the doctors and nurses that were working on me, there is a lot of comfort in that knowledge.
Even though going through hard times is not at the top of my list it is great to see how much you are loved, I have had so many wonderful friends and clients, offer to help with kids or meals, come watch a movie with me in the hospital, (even though I looked like death) and send flowers. I am now at home recovering, I will not be shooting for a couple of weeks, so I can take time to heal, but I am still checking e-mails, putting orders together and booking shoots. I have had quite a few people ask how my little guys are doing with all of this, they are kind of leery, since I had a lovely drain in my neck and a charming stitched line across the base of my neck but they are getting used to it. Ty says my neck looks, “crumbly” and the girls now think it’s cool watching me get infusions every 12 hours. Needless to say if you tried to contact me last week I was a little preoccupied, if I haven’t gotten back with you please try again, just ignore more scratchy little voice. 🙂
Magazine cover anyone?
Do you recognize this fun cover from the November issue of Simply Family Magazine? This family is so cute and fun, I think we giggled the entire time, mom and dad were so laid back and go with the flow it was fabulous, a great time was had by all.

I know I’ve mentioned it before, the pics that happen during a shoot that are magical, here is one of those, the light in their hair, the natural carefree smiles on their happy faces, the colors, everything aligned, this would be a huge canvas on my wall if I looked this fab in a pic with my daughter!
