I’m off……. off to my workshop in San Diego. I am so excited to learn from the best in the world, so thrilled that they chose me as one of the five to come and be mentored.

I couldn’t resist posting another pic before I left, I took this a couple of weeks ago, Avery was four weeks early, but not what you would imagine for a preemie, she was perfect and gorgeous, totally healthy and wonderful, you can see the love on her daddy’s face. I had to send a pic into the workshop as one of my favorite newborn pics and this was it, besides dad looking incredible they have the same sweet look their faces. There is something about dads and little girls, they melt their hearts right from the start.

this little miss came from out of town so we shot her in my office studio, she was a joy. congrats!

Look how cute this little family is, mom was worried because her daughter was having a rough time, totally typical for a toddler, she said, “everyone always looks so perfect and well behaved in your shoots”, I reassured her that even when they aren’t being perfect, which they never are (then they wouldn’t be kids right?) I can always get some great shots, not to worry. It all worked out, they had an awesome end result. I need to put some meltdown shots then a great pic next to it on my blog so people aren’t worried when their little guys have freakouts. Let me know if you are willing to have your kids showing their not so happy side on my blog when I photograph you, it will save some moms a lot of anxiety.

This family was so adorable, mom’s one request was to get a pic of her girls walking together, mission accomplished! Can you believe their beautiful eyes?!?

I love big babies, my babies all had multiple leg rolls that I couldn’t stop squishing, so when I see a babe that reminds me of mine, I can’t stop smiling the entire shoot. Cole was so lovable and easy going, he warmed up right away and came ready to smile. You might recognize this first pic from the current issue of Simply Family Magazine.

I am so excited, first- let’s just say how gorgeous Amy and her baby girl are!!! Amy was wonderful to photograph, so calm and relaxed, especially for a first time mama.

Now the reason I am jumping out of my chair – I was accepted to a workshop given by the reigning top newborn photographers in the world. The two women work as a team out of San Diego – check out their site – www.babyasart.com. They have done two workshops and only take five photographers each time and they chose me!!!! I just booked my flight and will soon be off to San Diego for the August 8/9 workshop, I can’t wait to learn from the masters to be inspired, taught and come back with a fresh eye. I am going to to hungry for newborns (5-10 days old please), I thought I would pass my excitement on to you and offer anyone who books a newborn shoot through the end of August (it doesn’t have to be done in August, just booked) I will give 25% off of their entire custom experience. Let’s see those babies!!!

This is my longest post in history, but I couldn’t help myself. It was so fun to photograph Michael and Brittney’s wedding, I got to know them while shooting their engagement photos (check it out in the engagement section of the blog), they are fantastic people. I knew when I saw them for the first time their wedding would be stellar! This first photo is just a sneak peek to get you excited, aren’t they stunning?!? Follow along to see how the day unfolded…..it was perfect!

The boys were so gentle with their baby sister. ok – look at the next pic, can you believe their gorgeous eyes? can we say heartbreakers! love it!!!

I know I’ve said this before, but there is something so special about little boys and their mamas. I never was as sensitive to it, until I had my little guy who melts my heart at least once a day. How adorable is it that he wanted to constantly bring flowers to his mom roots and all.

This fabulous family has been with me since the beginning. It is so fun to watch them grow together, first there were three, then a wedding, baby, and now look how big Tristan is. I love to shoot clients over and over, thanks for letting me be a part of your lives.
